Native Youth and Family Support Program

The Native Youth and Family Support Program is dedicated to empowering students and families by fostering leadership, cultural connection, and educational opportunities through the following opportunities:


Community Meetings

  • Consult/confer with American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) local leadership
  • Connect over cultural activities, plan future support opportunities
  • Highlight other organization events, possible partnerships

Student Leadership Team

  • To help guide program, provide youth input on other projects.
  • Bring team together once a month
  • Build confidence & leadership qualities

Out of State College Tour

  • Expose AI/AN students to culturally responsive post-secondary opportunities
  • Tribal college and scholarship workshops

Tribal History/Shared History (SB 13)

  • Training opportunities for educators to meet with tribes about the curriculum
  • Ensures a historically accurate, culturally embedded, place-based, and contemporary Native American/Alaska Native curricula
