Supporting Families Affected by SNAP Benefit Loss

We know many of our families are facing new challenges with the loss of their SNAP benefits. This change will make it harder for many to put food on the table — and we want to make sure our communities know they are not alone and that support is available.

To help connect families with resources, we’ve gathered a Food Assistance in Multnomah County guide that lists local programs and community partners offering free meals, groceries, and other supports. The document includes information about school meals, community food pantries, culturally specific programs, and local businesses stepping up to help during this time.

Please share this resource widely with your staff, families, and school communities. A kind word and timely information can make a real difference for families experiencing food insecurity.
