Oregon School Library Information System (OSLIS) Access
Homeschoolers in Oregon are eligible to register for the Oregon School Library Information System (OSLIS) resources. You must be registered in order to access this information.
The EBSCOHost online magazine and newspaper resources on OSLIS are available to all Oregon public, private, and homeschool students through a partnership between the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon State Library under the Library Services and Technology Act. Use of these resources requires registering with the State Library to receive a username and password. This username and password must be entered using lowercase letters only and cannot be published online or shared with others who are not registered users of OSLIS.
The Information Literacy resources on the OSLIS website are available to all Internet users. They include lessons, quizzes, teaching resources, and a wide variety of support materials focused at the elementary or secondary level. This includes a “Citation Maker” which helps students generate their bibliographies in both MLA and APA format. Various tutorial resources help the new user understand the resources on the homepage as well as how to navigate the site.
