Notice of TSCC Budget Hearing (PDF)
A public hearing will be held by the Tax Supervising and Conservation Commission on the budget approved by the budget committee for the Multnomah Education Service District, Multnomah County, State of Oregon, for the fiscal year July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. The hearing will be held May 18th, 2021 at 6:00pm. In response to the current health emergency, agency facilities are closed and the meeting will be held virtually via Zoom. Public comment will be taken by email and live via Zoom. Written comments received by 5:00 pm May 17, 2021 will be read during the public comment section of the meeting on May 18th. JOB TITLE: SUPERINTENDENT - EXECUTIVE OFFICER
REPORTS TO: Multnomah Education Service District Board of Directors POSITION PURPOSE: To provide leadership and executive level services to the Board of Directors in various capacities. Responsible for providing leadership for, and general supervision and coordination of, all Multnomah Education Service District (MESD) programs, services and personnel and to directly supervise and coordinate the activities and personnel within the Superintendent’s staff per the organizational chart. NATURE & SCOPE: This position is subject to board policies, administrative rules and procedures, department regulations and applicable State and Federal statutes. This position carries general administrative authority. ESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP QUALITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in Educational Administration; ten years of successful administrative experience, with at least five of those years as a superintendent, deputy superintendent or assistant superintendent. Hold or qualify for Oregon Administrative license with Superintendent endorsement. Education/training and experience in curriculum, instruction, pupil personnel services and public school administration In 2010, Oregon adopted higher K-12 standards in English language arts and mathematics to ensure that all students move from grade to grade with the academic knowledge and skills necessary for success beyond high school. We have adjusted the test blueprint for 2020-21 to allow for reliable estimation of student performance, while decreasing the time that students spend testing.
