End of Course Assessments & Credit by Proficiency
The End of Course Assessment Project has resulted in body of assessment items, both selected and constructed response for algebra, geometry, biology and physical science that are tightly aligned with the 2007 and 2007 Oregon Learning Standards. These assessment items can be utilized in the development of end of semester examinations or can be used for creating a rigorous and challenging credit recovery assessments. Combined with a set of performance tasks, these items can be used to create credit by proficiency assessments.
Lead teachers from four area high schools have worked over a two year period to design and field test these items. The items have been reviewed by national consultants for quality and content rigor.
For training on the use of these assessment resources, please contact Sarah Phillips, Coordinator of Curriculum & Instruction at 503-257-1585.
