SPOT groups are speech and occupational therapy groups held weekly at Wheatley school. The groups are transdisciplinary, with the OT and SLP providers all targeting both speech and OT goals throughout the group. These groups provide multisensory lessons that target functional language and fine motor skills. SPOT groups also support the skills, concepts, and vocabulary targeted in the ULS monthly lesson.
Strategic Plan Update4/6/2018 Goal 3 of the strategic plan is to "Increase district and community participation and satisfaction with our services." As a first step towards accomplishing that goal, Goal Team 3 created a component district survey to measure satisfaction with MESD services. The survey asked for feedback on several different measures for each program including; quality, reliability, responsiveness, value for money, effectiveness, customer service, and overall satisfaction. The survey also invited feedback on things we are doing well and things we could do to facilitate improvement. The results of the MESD Stakeholder Survey were shared will all staff in late March. The results are very positive for MESD programs overall and give us good information about opportunities we have to serve our districts in better and more diverse ways. If you haven’t had a chance to review the results yet, you are invited you to do so at https://www.mesd.k12.or.us/SES In April, MESD will be sending out another survey developed by Goal Team 3, to our non-school district partners to measure the strength and effectiveness of those partnerships. Surveyed partners will include county and city agencies, regional agencies, state agencies, nonprofits, grant funders, and higher education institutions. Results of this non-school district partner survey will be shared when available. |
