![]() Interim Superintendent Scott Perry and incoming Superintendent Sam Breyer recently made the following administrative announcement welcoming Sean Woodard as the Human Resources Director, thanking Dawn Strong for her time and expertise as the Interim HR Director, and congratulating her on successfully defending her doctoral dissertation. Thank you Dr. Strong for your service to the MESD! Sean Woodard has been selected as the next MESD Human Resources Director. Mr. Woodard brings over 21 years of human resources and leadership experience to the position. He is currently the Human Resources Director at the Pacific NW College of Arts. Prior to that he was part of the human resources teams at the City of Portland, Knowledge Learning Corporation, and Oregon Health and Science University. He has also served as the Executive Director for the "I Have a Dream Foundation" where he designed, implemented and coordinated an academic and social enrichment program for at-risk students. Mr. Woodard earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Science in Education at the University of Bridgeport, and was certified a Senior Professional in Human Resources in 2008. Sean is a family man, and devoted father of three girls (Yasmin, 10, Mikaela 8, and Cora 2 1/2) and husband to his darling wife Chelsi. This time of year you can find him and his family swimming in the rivers, walking the trails, and riding bikes in their Kenton neighborhood. He is a self proclaimed "regular guy" who likes a host of activities including almost all sports, chess, reading contemporary literature, and watching a Lord of the Rings marathon for the umpteenth time. Mr. Woodard begins his position July 1st.
