MESD Selects Special Education Director5/31/2016 ![]() Interim Superintendent Scott Perry and incoming Superintendent Sam Breyer recently made the following administrative announcement welcoming Todd Greaves as the Special Education Director. Todd Greaves has been selected as the MESD Special Education Director. Mr. Greaves brings over 25 years in education to the position, mostly recently as Coordinator - Education, Early Childhood and Head Start Services for the Oregon Department of Education (ODE). Prior to his role with ODE, Mr. Greaves served as the Director of Education, Early Childhood, Parent Engagement and Head Start Services for Family Service Association, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas for 3 years. Additionally, he has served as a Director for Early Childhood Services for 4 years, Principal of secondary and elementary schools for 9 years, as an assistant principal for 3 years, and as a teacher for 7 years in the Edgewood Independent School District, San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Greaves earned his bachelor's in education and master's in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of San Antonio, Texas. He is happily married to his wife Jill, and they have two children, a daughter (Grace) who is 16 and a son (John) who is 14. They are his world and they also keep him grounded in a life / work balance. He enjoys walking with his family, cooking (especially Thai or Greek cuisine), traveling, kayaking and hopefully soon cycling at a beginners pace and distance. He begins his position tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1.
