Paul Webster
AIM Classroom Teacher (503) 262-4032 pwebster@mesd.k12.or.us Greetings from Paul and the AIM classroom staff! Paul Webster received his undergraduate training in Portland and began his education work in Arizona, volunteering with underserved student populations in the Navajo Nation. Teaching students with multiple disabilities soon became his focus, and, after earning his teaching certification in this specialty, he led a middle school classroom team, implementing assistive / inclusive technology, as well as including peer mentors, in the delivery of special education services. We are excited to be able to teach as part of Wheatley’s multidisciplinary education team. Having a team that includes occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists and behavior consultants means that school staff can draw from several perspectives in identifying a student’s unique skillset. This helps leverage student strengths, with the goals of increased student independence in activities of daily living and consistent academic success. |
